Welcome back, friends!
It’s been quite a while since I’ve done one of these, but there is nothing like the holiday season that’s gets all of my creative juices flowing! Raise your hand if you’re as excited as I am that it’s October & and we are just a little over a week away from Halloween?! I swear October is seriously my favorite month of the year (sorry, Christmas) but there is just something about October and pumpkin patches & scary movies that makes my heart flutter! LOL
With that being said, we are officially under two weeks away and for all of you last minute people & decorators like me, this post is all for you! As much as I LOVE all things Halloween & October would you believe me if i told you I have n e v e r decorated for Halloween?! I know, I know. Trust me, it will never happen again, I’m officially hooked! Halloween decor can be so much fun & affordable. I swear it’s the cheapest holiday I have ever decorated for! The key is not to take it so seriously. Halloween is meant to be fun & decorating for it should be no different. So let loose ya’ll & have fun with it.
Here are a couple of things I incorporated in my Halloween decor this year that didn’t break the bank…
First, add any kind of s p o o k y lighting…whether that’s twinkle lights, candle sticks, LED candles…I love them all! & the best apart about most of these is that there is a good chance you already have at least of couple of these things around your house somewhere! Win, win!
Next, letter boards or chalkboards are the perfect accessory for ANY holiday!
Pick a quote from your favorite Halloween movie, & voila! Name the movies these quotes are from and we can be friends for life!!! LOL
Another fun & cheap way to decorate for Halloween is to get “batty” ya”ll…
I love these little guys & you can literally find them everywhere! Amazon & dollar tree have some for less than $10!
In addition to all the other ideas don’t forget to add some spider webs or creepy “gauze” fabric! I opted for the the gauze like fabric & I’m in love! Throw this stuff over a table, mirror or mantle & it gives any space that eerie feel!
Shelly the Skelly agrees, too! LOL
I think that just about covers it! Of course there are so many other options, you can take a few of these ideas and run with them & make your Halloween decor as simple as you please or go all out, the possibilities are endless! It’s all just a bunch of Hocus Pocus, anyways!
Happy, Halloween! Thanks for stopping by, don’t forget to stop back by in a couple weeks for some Thanksgiving Tablescape ideas!
Till next time…
