Welcome, friends!
Come on in and cozy up because in this post I am taking you on a F A L L decor home tour of the Perry house! It’s official, fall is here. Most Floridians are summer kind of people, they love their beach days & pool hangs…but not this Florida, girl. I am a fall girl, through and through. Which I know probably sounds kind of funny considering Florida’s fall consists of sipping on Pumpkin spice latte’s in your scarves and boots, while you sit in your car blasting that cold AC in your face as you pretend it’s not still 95 degrees outside! Am I right?! But I still just can’t help myself, fall has my heart. I’m a sucker for all things pumpkin & pumpkin patches! It’s my favorite time of the year & my absolute favorite season to decorate for!
This year however, I had to make a choice. I had to decide whether or not I wanted to go neutral which was definitely the trend this year…or keep things bright & traditional?! As much as I LOVED the neutral fall decor everywhere I couldn’t resist throwing in some oranges & yellows to brighten things up! So come along with me as I give you a little mini fall decor home tour!
First stop on the tour is our entryway…
I kept things s u p e r simple here with a cute little bright wreath. I wanted something that would get people’s attention without making them feel like they were being slapped in the face with all things fall!
Next stop is our living room. Now for those that don’t know we have a smaller, very open, home. Our living room is open to our dining room which is open to our kitchen and so on…you get the picture?! So when choosing any type of decor I always have to make sure everything flows from space to space! So decorating for fall was no different.
Let’s F A L L in l o v e…
I used wreaths and florals to incorporate those pops of bright colors that makes it truly feel like fall & kept all the pumpkins very neutral. I completely feel in the love with all the sweater & burlap pumpkins, so I stocked up on those and spread them all throughout our house!
Our living room over looks our dining room space & earlier this year we just added a faux fireplace that I am OBSESSED with! I finally have a mantle that I have always been so desperate to decorate! YAY!
Up next, is our “dining room” if you can really call it that lol
Our dining room table is just to the left of the faux fireplace. I’m going to be honest, we have a tiny dining room table, ya’ll. It’s just my husband & I and we eat dinner at the bar every night so it’s a rare occasion that we use it! So I decided this year if we aren’t using it I might as well make it look pretty!
I wanted a center piece that popped, but I didn’t want it to clash with all the bright colors on the mantle so I decided to keep it very neutral with a fun little diy fuax pumpkin centerpiece. I just threw in a burlap placemat and some extra pinecones I had laying around and VOILA…
If you missed the post on how to make this centerpiece you can find it here. It was seriously so easy and the perfect centerpiece for any table!
I wanted to keep things very simple on the dining room table because anything to big or to much can quickly make the table appear cluttered!
I have never done the whole “tablescape” thing so I decided I would give it a try this year! All you need is a placemat of your choice, a decorative plate & napkin, topped off with the cutest little velvet covered pumpkin & your done!
I love the simplicity & I also love how well this will transition right into November for Thanksgiving!
Moving right along to one of my favorite little nooks in our house. Last stop is a little space we have between our two sets of french doors…
I have to admit I am the worst about constantly moving things & decor around on a daily basis so this little area as well as our mantle is constantly under going little makeovers and I have switched things around here more than I can count as you can see from the different pictures! But you can’t go wrong with those glitter covered pumpkins anywhere!
So that about wraps up the tour! I mostly just decorated the main living areas of our house, except for the few pumpkins sprinkled throughout our bedrooms!
Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment telling me which Fall team your on….team all neutral or team traditional?! Thinking I might switch things up next year! But until then I’ll just be over denying the fact that I am supposed to be decorating for Halloween instead of cramming our house with even more sweater pumpkins! LOL
Happy Fall, ya’ll!
We had summer in fall this year and it was certainly hard to get into the spirit. Your decorations look wonderful.
